Through a Shaman's Eyes: What We Weave

One of the fundamental concepts in living a magickal path is the understanding that we manifest our own reality. From the tiniest detail to the broadest theme, our life and our world are as we create them, not just through our actions, but through our thoughts and intent.
When I was studying with my Native American teacher, I was taught that part of Grandmother Spider's magick is the ability to weave the world into being. Whenever I see her touch, whether it's through an eight-legged creature perched on a branch or through the delicate tapestry of a spider's web, I'm reminded of her message - and the truth that we are truly weaving our world.
It's important that we are not only conscious of this truth, but that we intentionally weave our world to reflect our spiritual paths and our innermost selves. Each day is a day farther on our journey toward our spiritual goals and the evolution of our soul. Each day is a step closer to our inner calling. And each day we change our world a little more, just as Grandmother Spider changes the world around us with her weaving.
