At its heart Old Ways is simply the path of one very eclectic pagan who, through a series of events, just happens to teach what he learns on his own. What began in March 1997 as an email innocently sent to seven pagan friends grew, almost entirely through word of mouth, to what you find here today.
From the very beginning, Old Ways has been offered free of charge. As the role of spiritual teacher is most definitely a non-salaried position, it's necessary for me to keep my costs as low as humanly possible.
For this reason, I moved the email edition of Old Ways to Yahoo! Groups back in December of 1998. It's a free service which has worked without significant issues since the first article was distributed through them. Essentially, once you register with your email address, you'll receive each article in your inbox at roughly the same time that it posts to the Old Ways site. While there is content that you can only find on this site (it won't be sent to you) the service is free of charge and seems to be almost devoid of "spam."
The easiest way to subscribe is to send an email to oldways-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. A confimation email will be sent to your inbox. Simply reply to the email and the core articles of Old Ways will be routed to your inbox whenever they are published.
The other method method is to surf over to groups.yahoo.com/group/oldways and follow the obvious steps to join the group. (Joining the group is the same as subscribing to the newsletter.)
If you would like to unsubscribe to the email edition of Old Ways for any reason, simply send an email to oldways-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com. Your unsubscription request will be processed automatically by Yahoo! Groups.
If you'd prefer, you can also subscribe to the RSS feed here at Old Ways.

You'll need an RSS reader in order to do so. While I didn't write RssReader, I do use it - and even better, it's freeware (meaning that it's offered free of charge by the person(s) who programmed it.) Simply copy and paste http://www.oldways.com/feed.xml into the program and the software should do all the rest.
